There are things I almost send you, then save for when I can say them properly. This is one of them.
When something makes me laugh, I wonder how you would react. When I find a song I like, I want your opinion. Somehow, you have become part of the way I notice things.
I like hearing the version of a story that only you would tell. I like the small details you include and the sudden changes of subject. I never need our conversations to lead anywhere impressive.
I want to make room for your honest answers too. If something bothers you, I would rather hear it than leave you guessing whether you can tell me. We do not have to get everything right on the first try.
You matter to me beyond the words I use here. I hope you notice it in the way I listen and remember what matters to you.
